We
sailed at 7.00. The weather unfortunately was a little hazy, but a fancy
trip and hrs. about 9.30 added we to country, and were in buses driven
up to the dam-building. That is good enough much. There are used in all
24 millions of m2. concrete and the total price is figured out with
becoming about 2 billions of US$. When we came back on the boat we
sailed against the floodgate, and into first lock chamber at 12.30
together with 8 other ships. The floodgate consists of five chambers in
succession, but the fifth chamber isn't yet used. That is first gone in
use when the water level is completely up in 175 m height. There are
missing still about 35 m. We passed through the first and largest of The
Tree Gorges, an incredibly beautiful nature experience, with almost
vertical rocks, green mountainsides and an incredibly beautiful water
that twists now and then the cutters. The day's navigation ended at 20.
the time, while we ate evening's food called the Captain's buffet, with
speech of welcome of the captain, we stayed overnight in Ba Dong.

Rain
from the the early morning and hazy, but not as much as yesterday. There
is today an excursion in small boats to Shennong Stream, a tributary not
far from where we have stayed overnight, a good deal of us off-chooses
this trip because of the weather. You that participated , report that
that was a large experience. Up at the river are varied to small rowing
boats, and when the water level becomes too low, silences' that not
more, but the boats are drawn off men that go in the cold water from a
river. After this excursion we were in a mess further up Yangtze the
river through the two last Gorgeses, not so large as the first, but just
as beautiful. Late in the afternoon there was teaching in the difficult
art of building Chinese porter. The navigation continued to at 4 the
time in the morning where it was docked together with Feng Du.

Wake up
to a beautiful morning. the breakfast the trip to the Ghost-temple
checks. A hard trip. It was told that there is about 400 steps up. A
beautiful temple, with many myths and horror stories, but there was a
beautiful view up from there. The trip up Yangtze is continued after
noon, and it was invited to a trip at the bridge, where there was told
about the ship, and everything its's modern equipment. The ship is built
in 1991. When one looks at the equipment it looks like it is over 50
years since that is mounted, but it sails then every day. The navigation
continues past many new towns that are built higher up of the mountain
before the water comes. There are more places arranged shipbuilding
yards directly on the beach. Certain places we could see that that was a
fight in the course of time about becoming done before the water
ladders. There were some places built dams in order to hold the water on
distance. There was entertainment in Dans Hall after the evening-food
with appearance of some of the crew members as well as some talent show
with the passengers. During the night we reach forward to Chong Qing (
are pronounced ”tjong ting” )
